Safari Day 4: Serengeti

Previous entry.

Today was a day quality over quantity. An injured black mamba, feeding vultures and eagles, a pack of mongoose, lions basking on rocks, acrobatic bateleur eagles, bat-eared foxes, another leopard, oh...and the wildebeest migration. I guess I lied--today was a day of quality and quantity.

Wildebeest as far as the eye could see, huge herds of elephants, zebra and more, bones scattered across the plains. Today had a little bit of everything except hunting. Sadly, animal hunts are hard to predict and quite short lived--not something you can reasonably hope to catch. But I can still dream.

Tomorrow we head out early to try and catch some early morning action. Should be fun!
